Ahead of the forthcoming Africast 2016 Conference, the National Broadcasting Commission has implored all stakeholders, especially Broadcasters, policy makers, content producers and equipment manufacturers (Local and Foreign) to fully explore the opportunity to engage and network during the biennial conference.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the NBC described the conference, which started in 1996, as an investment platform and a market place of ideas and materials. The main theme of the 11th Edition of Africast is “Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting: the imperative of Financing Quality Content”- and it will feature the exhibition of cutting edge digital broadcast equipment, presentation of conference papers, a 3 day master class in collaboration with C2S Nigeria and discussions which are rich and engaging.
The NBC stressed the significance between the first Africast, which took place in 1996, and the one holding this year. The First edition coincided with the deregulation of the broadcast industry, while this edition is coming at the threshold of the digital switchover.
About 1000 participants from over 30 countries are expected to participate in the event which is scheduled for 18th – 20th October, 2016, at the Abuja Sheraton Hotels and Towers. Time is 9.00am, daily.
The Commission looks forward to seeing you there.
